The Closer: Flips and splits of New York’s real estate community
The Chelsea Modern has properties on the market, a Halstead agent makes films and Moves Magazine holds a design contest.
Chelsea Modern is active again. The two-colored glass angled building, designed by Tribeca-based Audrey Matlock and developed by Madison Equities, has several homes on the market.
Corcoran Group’s Marie-Claire Gladstone, wife of Madison owner Robert Gladstone, has a resale listing. A two-bedroom, two-bath, 1,379-square-foot-home is on the market for $2.225 million. These are renting fast at around $8,000 per month. On 18th St. and 10th Ave., they’re in view of the High Line.
Gladstone also has a $23,000-per-month penthouse on the market in the building. This three-bedroom has private roof space with stellar views.
“Design drives people to the building,” says Gladstone. “Of course, I am biased, but the quality is also very good.”
