Fred Waring III joins us from Brown Harris Stevens’ Hudson office and is the grandson of the Big Band leader, Congressional Gold Medal recipient and inventor of the Waring blender. After graduating high school in 1976, Fred spent the next 14 years in the music business, touring the country as a drummer for various acts. In 1990, Fred became a Real Estate agent in NY and has been licensed ever since. He has an extensive background in residential and commercial sales, construction, corporate and estate property management with a special interest in the rehabilitation of 18th century stone houses and 19th century farmhouses. In 2002 he started the Fred Waring Foundation which was formed to support orphans and street children in Cambodia. Fred’s mission is to build centers that will incorporate housing, vocational training, manufacturing, farming and recreation for young adults no longer eligible for the shelter an orphanage may offer. Fred plans to continue his charitable work in Cambodia and hopes to expand into other regions.
