About Karen
Many of Karen's sales cannot be advertised nor will you find them on her website. Discretion is of paramount importance when working with high profile buyers and sellers who wish for their acquisitions and sales to remain confidential. Buyers and sellers who work with Karen appreciate her willingness to cater to their needs and think out of the box to find the best properties, even if it means finding off market places to buy. She is honest in her approach and informative in her guidance - vital assets when making one of the largest decisions of your life. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Karen worked as an actress since childhood. After graduating from Wheaton College in Chicago, she moved to New York to work on a film, then met her husband Kyle and never left. Today she and her family live in a wonderful Victorian home they own in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Karen understands the steps necessary in the purchase, sale and renovation of a property. The mother of three, she is also empathetic with the seasons of life each buyer as they search for a home for their needs, whether single professionals, growing families or empty nesters. Today partnering with her husband Kyle at The Corcoran Group, Karen likens her ability to seamlessly navigate the real estate process for clients to her work in film & theater; where time was crucial, the stakes high and the attention to detail crucial in creating a match between buyer and seller. She is known for her ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to bring all parties together to ensure a win-win outcome. A former resident of Manhattan's Upper West Side, Karen enjoys Brooklyn life and the uniqueness of its people and neighborhoods. She is actively involved in her community as a founding member of the Brooklyn Waldorf School which she co-established with a few other local couples. Karen also enjoys yoga, cooking, and family bike riding excursions.

Clients share praise for The Talbott Team.

We want to express our genuine appreciation for getting us across the finish line to closing. We are so happy with the result and excited to take the next step in our lives. You went the extra mile in resolving last-minute walk-through issues, wrote incredible copy for the listing and were a pleasure to work with on all the details of staging, showing, and negotiating. Viva Brooklyn!

Billy & Christine

It cannot be underestimated the experience of working with an agent who facilitates the process of buying and selling real estate with comfort, ease and honesty. This has been my experience with Kyle & Karen. Their caring presence + professionalism made the otherwise stressful circumstance of a real estate transaction feel safe & run smoothly. For that we are extremely grateful to the Talbotts!
