About Liz

Licensed Realtor and Captain Liz Gillooly has been an active member of the North Fork community her entire life. With a passion for service, an entrepreneurial spirit, and two successful realtors for parents, she is excited and well-equipped to help you with all your home buying and selling needs in the beautiful place she feels fortunate calling home. As a proud sales associate at the Corcoran Group in Cutchogue, Liz carries the values of hard work, integrity, and outstanding service to everything she does. Her entire career has been customer-facing, and her creativity is a strong asset in getting her clients homes seen! She believes in being responsive, communicative, and above all, well-prepared to handle every detail and potential obstacle from start to finish of your transaction with both fortitude and ease. You could say Liz has always been a great navigator, not just when it comes to the real estate market. After attending college in NYC, she pursued a career as a maritime Captain and earned her US Coast Guard Captain’s License while living in the Virgin Islands. With an extensive background in yachting, Liz has enjoyed incredible adventures, like sailing across the Atlantic on a 116’ Custom Ketch spending 25 days at sea, studying celestial navigation, and giving whale watching tours as a first mate on a catamaran. After years of professional sailing that took her all over the world, she founded and still runs a thriving charter business, Layla Sailing out of Greenport, specialized in luxury day-sail excursions. After recently purchasing her dream home in Greenport with her partner, Dan, Liz realized how much she loves the hunt for the perfect space. She looks forward to working with you and your family to help make your real estate dreams come true. Outside of work, Liz enjoys sailing, gardening, photography, and playing with her dog Oscar. Also, as an activist and environmentalist, she is a member of the Southold Justice Review & Reform Task Force, and The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department Community Advisory Board.
