About Wendy
Wendy Wu was always drawn to real estate, noting how it weaves together her creative interests and background in multiple industries. She has welcomed international experiences and opportunities to work with a wide range of people as well. Before becoming a licensed agent and joining Corcoran, Wendy enjoyed a diverse career in real estate, starting as a marketing coordinator and executive assistant supporting commercial brokerage teams at Cushman and Wakefield of LA. She also assisted a local realtor in a beach town in Brazil with property tours and translation, and transcribed for House Hunters International.
Born in Queens and raised in Texas, Wendy spent 12 years in Los Angeles, a year in Brazil, and many holidays in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Returning home to NYC, she has lived in Brooklyn since 2010. Wendy studied at the University of Southern California, with a semester abroad at La Sorbonne in Paris. Her professional path has also entailed operational roles within creative offices, and several client coordinating roles within hospitality. She has even applied her broad business skills juggling clothing design, production and sales for her own startup children's clothing line for four years.
Extremely service-oriented, resourceful and driven to succeed, "I am willing to go the extra mile to get things done for my real estate clients, even with flying coattails and detours. I've moved over 25 times in my life so far between apartments, sublets, coasts and continents. Home shopping is like treasure hunting, and I strive to make the journey exciting, informative and seamless. I genuinely care about people, and there's nothing more gratifying than finding the perfect fit between a client and their future home."
Naturally curious, and fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin and English, Wendy has been an avid traveler all her life. She loves learning, and as an aspiring third-generation restauranteur, is just as explorative right in her hometown. Though specializing in rentals and sales in Bed-Stuy, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and Crown Heights, Wendy also knows Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint very well. Outside of the office, you can usually find her on the soccer field squeezing in a game, or cross-pollinating ideas and connections between old friends and new. Soccer, music, and hopscotching keep her moving. Wendy is also a shutterbug who is deeply inspired by architecture, design, and community.
