Sandyport is a popular choice for people who live in the Bahamas throughout the year. The pastel Georgian Colonial houses here serve as primary residences, rather than secondary vacation homes, thanks to Sandyport’s proximity to grocery stores, shopping, and other day-to-day needs. Located on the northwestern end of Cable Beach in Nassau, Sandyport is near everything necessary in the Bahamian capital. Though Sandyport is a gated community with a resort hotel, it’s different from many other Bahamian developments because the village life is spread throughout the neighborhood, rather than concentrated in one club. There are six community tennis courts, seven swimming pools, and three playgrounds. In Olde Towne, the commercial center of Sandyport, there are numerous restaurants, a school, a post office, a bank, a gym, and a supermarket. Canals and waterways crisscross Sandyport, so every house is a waterfront residence and a quick jaunt to the beach.

Living in Sandyport

Composed of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets, The Bahamas has an island for every mood.
