When people refer to East Hampton, they likely mean East Hampton the village, as opposed to East Hampton the town, the latter of which contains East Hampton village as well as the villages and hamlets of Montauk, Northwest Harbor, Springs, Wainscott, Amagansett, and a part of Sag Harbor.
