East Nashville
East Nashville is the capital for the creative class in Nashville, transforming the neighborhood into hipster central in the last decade. Artists of all stripes started moving to the area, decorating buildings with frequently changing murals, and soon, East Nashville became as well known for its restaurants and quirky, independent stores as for its upscale, bohemian vibe. East Nashville serves as the collective name for about a dozen smaller commercial and residential neighborhoods, the latter being a home to a mix of architecture—you’ll see often bungalows from the 1940s sitting next to a newly built condo.
