About Michael

Michael Sorrentino, Senior Managing Director of the Park Slope office, is a natural team-builder dedicated to enhancing the skill set, heightening the service ethic and building the business of his agents. While also focused on the successful operations of one of Corcoran’s fastest-growing offices, he considers himself a coach and partner to his agents, and takes proactive steps to help them grow their contacts and sales numbers.

Michael devotes all the time necessary catering to each agent’s unique needs and strengths. From helping them develop consistent marketing campaigns in various mediums, to assisting with relationship building with clientele, he is proud that his agents have come to enjoy a great deal of success.

The key factors in excelling, Michael believes, are a do-what-it takes customer service approach, along with personal attention, patience, product knowledge and open communication. To accomplish this, one-on-one mentoring and role playing are integral in his in-office trainings. Through Michael’s leadership and guidance, his agents emerge as expert negotiators, communicators, and established navigators of the complexities of the New York City real estate market.

With nearly a decade of industry experience, Michael was initially an accomplished sales agent specializing in condo, co-op and townhouse sales at the Corcoran Brooklyn Heights office before transitioning into management. Transitioning to real estate from the fast-paced world of retail management for several top-name companies, he was fortunate to learn from the best. Having run many facets of a multi-store business established him as an effective leader, business analyst and talent developer.

As a native New Yorker, and longtime resident of Park Slope and Windsor Terrace, Michael now lives on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and enjoys his weekends on Long Island’s North Fork as a condo owner and board member. Graduating from Binghamton University with a double major in English and Theatre, he is a strong advocate of the arts. Michael has acted in and directed Off-Broadway shows, and is a practicing musician when time permits. He is also a huge outdoors enthusiast and fitness guru.
