Brooklyn Heights co-op • $765,000• BROOKLYN • 57 Montague Street, No. 1J

A spacious one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a foyer, four good-sized closets, an open kitchen and a bay-windowed dining nook that looks out onto the Brooklyn Heights promenade, on the first-floor of a full-service co-op built in 1949. Lesley Semmelhack, 917-586-0621, Corcoran; corcoran.com

MAINTENANCE $1,094 a month

PROS The co-op is at the quiet, residential end of Montague Street, less than a block from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Although the apartment is on the first floor, it receives good light throughout the day. It also has a view of the East River. There’s a 24-hour doorman, a bike room and a roof deck.

CONS The apartment is directly off the lobby, with the bedroom positioned next to the building’s entrance. There is no central air-conditioning. The bathroom has a sleek rainwater shower, but some may prefer a bathtub.
