The developer-broker power couple Robert and Marie-Claire Gladstone just finished staging a penthouse and a ground-floor live-work duplex at the Chelsea Modern on 18th St.

Several unique apartments are on the market there, including a three-bedroom penthouse with flanking terraces and Empire State Building views. It’s on the market for $4.35 million. The 47-unit building designed by Audrey Matlock has a two-tone angling glass facade providing one of the best views from the High Line.

Penthouse 12AB also has two terraces, including a private roof deck accessible via a motorized door skylight that moves over to give access from a staircase. The 3,886-square-foot four-bedroom apartment is on the market for $8.19 million.

“Robert loves all these gadgets and high-tech window machines,” says Marie-Claire Gladstone of her husband the developer. “These apartments are so stylized. The building has really cool people, too. Artists, media, some people in fashion. It has a great vibe.

Especially cool is the duplex ground-floor live-work space with steel doors and an intimate loft-like feel. Two of those are left starting at $2.4 million. Theresa Hill Design staged the new model units. An event next week will debut the units.
