Featuring Martha Friedricks-Glass’ listing at 575 Park Avenue, Upper East Side

Upper East Side Co-op • $595,000 • MANHATTAN 575 Park Avenue, No. 1403

A one-bedroom, one-bath 800-square-foot apartment in a prewar building, with a mirrored foyer, and a living room with herringbone-patterned floors and a decorative fireplace. Martha Friedricks-Glass, Corcoran Group, 212-836-1031; corcoran.com

MAINTENANCE $4,113 a month

PROS There are flour closets. The building allows pieds-à-terre, and foreigners can buy. The price is low for a historic building on an exclusive street.

CONS The relatively low price is offset by very steep maintenance, though it covers maid service for most of the week. The 20-square-foot kitchen, a vestige of the building’s past as a residential hotel, seems comically small.
